Brisbane Bible Reading Marathon 2018

The dates for next year’s Marathon have been set and we are excited to announce:

Date: 6pm Friday 9th February through to around 6pm Monday 12th February 2018.

Venue: Speaker’s Corner, George Street, at the entrance to QUT, outside Parliament House.

Vision: To read the Bible from cover to cover in 72 hours (or slightly more)

This is an opportunity for YOU to partake in spreading the Word of God with a team of believers.  We need people to read the Bible for 15 mins at a time for 72 hours, declaring the Word of God over our city.  The time will be separated into 3 hours slots with a Site Captain for each time period.

If you can pull a team together of 4 to 12 people from your church, friends, youth group, family, anywhere, and would be willing to be on site for 3 hours then please message Linda Rawlings on 04 1507 7211. If you can’t pull a team together but still want to read for 15 mins, message her and she’ll put you in a team. Thank you.

Graham and Linda Rawlings are organising the Marathon again this year so please contact them at biblereadingmarathon@gmail.com or 3390 7061 or 04 1507 7211

Past Marathons

We have conducted the Brisbane Bible Reading Marathon for the last 3 years – 2015, 2016 and 2017. It has taken 72-74 hours to read the whole Bible aloud.  Many stopped to listen and inquire, a good number engaged in conversation and some received prayer. A few really encountered God and we gave Bibles to some people.  But most importantly the entire Word of God was declared over our city.   Thank you so much to everyone who participated in the past; we could not have done it without each and every one of you.
